Code of Conduct

Professionalism & Code of Practice

Rocks n Rituals therapists shall conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner and be respectful to clients at all times.  Therapists will only practice within the discipline they are qualified for and if in training will confirm this to the client at the time.  Rocks n Rituals’ primary concern is for the client and their well-being and our therapists shall practice to the best of their ability at all times.  Rocks n Rituals take great care to be completely objective in their judgement and any recommendations that are given, so that issues are never influenced by anything other than the best and proper interests of the client.

Clients suffering from medical conditions will be prompted to seek advice from their GP before commencing any alternative therapy treatments.  Rocks n Rituals therapists will never promise to cure nor will they diagnose conditions or give unqualified medical advice.  Rocks n Rituals therapists will always act in a co-operative manner with other health care professionals and refer cases, which are out of the sphere of the therapy field in which they practice.

All therapists hold the relevant professional indemnity and public liability insurance required to practice and will ensure they work in hygienic, safe environments complying with all current relevant legal requirements.

Confidentiality

Rocks n Rituals is committed to maintaining the highest degree of integrity in all dealings with potential, current and past clients, both in terms of normal client-therapist confidentiality, and the protection of all personal information received in the course of providing therapy services.

Ethics

Rocks n Rituals always conduct services honestly and honourably, and expect our clients and suppliers to do the same. Our advice, assistance and the methods imparted through our therapy practices, take proper account of ethical considerations, together with the protection and enhancement of the moral position of our clients and suppliers.

Duty of Care

Rocks n Rituals actions and advice will always conform to relevant law and current therapy practice, and Rocks n Rituals believe that all businesses and organisations, including this business, should avoid causing any adverse effect on the human rights of people in the organisations we deal with, the local and wider environments, and the well-being of society at large.

Record Keeping & Data Protection

Accurate, up to date records of treatments carried out on clients together with the results of these treatments will be kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act.  The records will contain the clients’ personal details, medical history, dates and details of treatments given and confirmation of any advice given.  These records shall be kept confidential at all times and a client may request access to their records under the Data Protection Act by emailing the business owner and requesting their details.  All such requests for records will be acted upon in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Fees & Payments

Our fees are always competitive for what we provide, which is a high quality, tailored, specialised service.   Fees are clearly advertised on our website and will be confirmed at the time of making the appointment with the client.

Fees are payable on the day of the appointment by cash, card or alternatively can be paid in advance by agreement using electronic means such as PayPal.  Payment for any non-therapy item such as jewellery, incense or other item is required before the item can be taken by the customer or client.

Card payments are also available in person using PayPal Reader and the associated smart phone app. No credit or debit card details are held by Rocks n Rituals.

Quality Assurance & Continuing Professional Development

We maintain the quality of what we do through constant interaction with our clients. We encourage feedback from our clients and strive to maintain an excellent quality of service.  Our therapists continue to study and work towards their own personal career development by regularly undertaking new courses or updating their existing skills by reading, attending seminars or webinars and other methods of training.

Equality and Discrimination

We always strive to be fair and objective in our advice and actions, and we are never influenced in our decisions, actions or recommendations by issues of gender, race, creed, colour, age, personal disability, sexual orientation, religious or political beliefs.
